About Rivertown
Rivertown Community Arts Center operates out of the building directly next to the Fort Kent post office - 142 West Main Street. We currently have a Lounge, Shop (featuring made/created items from our members), Youth Studio, Painting Studio, and Drawing/Crafting Workspace. We are in the middle of setting up a Quiet Space/Comfy Den and Pottery/Clay Studio. We also have a sidewalk seating area, , street parking, backyard lawn area, and parking in the rear of the building.
Rivertown is a membership-based community arts center, and some of our funding is from Membership fees. Click here to learn more about Memberships and sign up.
We are have been incorporated as a nonprofit by the State of Maine, and are currently awaiting 501(c)3 status through the IRS.
We continue to gather information from families, community members, and groups about what they would like to see at a local community arts center. Please contact us with ideas about programs you’d love to attend, or if you have a skill that you’d like to share (and get paid to do so!).
If you would like to volunteer, please contact us to find out what roles we have available.
